1. Open the outer leaves one by one.
2. Under each leaf there are a group
of long pale yellow flowers.
3. Collect only the yellow flowers.....
4. Keep repeating the first 2 steps :
Open the leaf, collect flowers, discard leaf.
5. Keep peeling until the white
yellow heart.
6. Cut the yellow heart into half,
7. Put in a bowl, add cold water,
lemon juice to avoid discoloring
of the yellow heart.
8. Pull the feathery petal back,
discard matchstick like stem
inside the flower
(otherwise banana flower will be hard and bitter)
9. Chop the heart into small pieces,
work quickly as it is very starchy
and it discolors quickly.
10. It is ready to cook.

RECIPE : SAUTE CHILLI STYLE BANANA BLOSSOM (FLOWER)
Ingredients :- 1 pc Banana Blossom (flower)
2 cups water
2 tbsp cooking oil
2 pc garlic (chopped)
2 pc red onion (chopped)
1 pc red chilli (chopped)
1 tbsp light soya sauce
1 tbsp black soya sauce
some dried shrimps
Method :- 1. In a wok, heat cooking oil, then saute the chopped garlic, onion,
dried shrimps and chopped red chilli until fragrance.
2. Put in chopped Banana Blosson (Flower), add in light and dark sauce and mix well.
3. Add in water, simmer until tender.
4. Serve.
